Why is it important to have a savings plan?

Having a savings plan in these economic days and times is critical. You cannot afford to be running around spending money without having a plan in place to save at least a small portion of what you make in a year. The economic future of the world as we know it is in turmoil, so you don't want to be caught in a bad situation without a stock pile of money in your savings account.

It is recommended people keep at least 18 months of living expenses in their savings account. I don't know what circles you travel in, but I can tell you there are not many people in my circle achieving this number,
